Adventure Itinerary

Day 1- Arrival by 11am to El Calafate and "Ice Trekking" at Perito Moreno Glacier: We begin our adventure with a visit to Perito Moreno Glacier, located in Los Glaciares National Park. The glacier was named after explorer Francisco Moreno, a man commonly referred to as Perito meaning "specialist". As the world's third largest fresh water source and one of the few remaining ice fields still growing this is the perfect start to our Patagonian Adventure. From here we ebmark upon our guided four hour "ice trek." The hike will take us across the middle of the ice, inside of ice caves and past lagoons. This is the end all be all when it comes to walking and experiences a glacier! Afterwards, we will return to El Calafate for a celebratory welcome dinner and restful night's sleep. Overnight in El Calafate.

Activity: Four Hour Glacier Trek

Day 2- EL Chalten: This morning depart and begin our three and a half hour drive north to El Chalten. After our arrival and a chance to change we hit the trails and head to Laguna Torre nestled at the base of Cerro Torre, well known among outdoor enthusiasts for it's challenging rock climbing. Great for trail running and anyone that rather hike. Overnight in El Chalten.

Day 3- El Chalten: The trek to Laguna Torre will prove to have been a good warmup for today's adventure to Lago de Los Tres. The break-taking views beneath rock spires it unbeatable. Overnight in El Chalten.

Day 4- Calafate to Ushuaia: Today we return to El Calafate and depart via plane in the afternoon for Ushuaia. Being the southernmost city in Argentina, Ushuaia is commonly known as the "End of the Word." After our arrival enjoy free time to stroll the town and relax after a long day of travel.

Day 5- Ushuaia: This morning we head out on a small chartered boat excursion into the Beagle Channel for spectacular up close viewing of cormorant colonies and sea lions sun bathing on the small rock islands. If we're lucky on a stop and walk at an island we may spot a leopard seal! A rare and special sighting as they occasionally they lose their way form the waters by Antartica and end up in the channel. on our stop at and walk around an island. After the boat tour and lunch, we will head to the Tierra del Fuego National Park to check out the many vistas, and trails. If you don't want to go on the boat excursion there are plenty of options for the morning hours. Relax at the hotel, go for a run, stroll along the banks of the water, or schedule a visit to the hotel spa.

Day 6- Ushuaia: Departure Day. If you would like to extend your stay and get in some extra excursions into the mountains behind Ushuaia, just let us know. We'll set it all up, and given enough interest stay the extra days as a group. Transport to the airport is included.
