Ultra Trail Torres del Paine

Trail Ultra (single track) Distances include: 15K, 34K, 50K

Race Surface: Single track trail.

Itineraries are six days, including flying time total travel is seven-to-nine days. Depending on flight times, you may need to arrive in Punta Arenas a day ahead of time. If this is the case, we will book your hotel and be there to greet you. We work with each guest to ensure that travel flow perfectly.

Race Adventure Itinerary

 

Day 1-  Morning arrival in Punta Arenas, Chile

 

After arriving to Punta Arenas, we begin our journey with a visit to the Fuerte Bulnes, a Chilean fort along the Strait of Magellan. The fort was established in 1843 and offers awe-inspiring and vast ocean views. Here you will feel an incredible sense of being at one of the southern most points in the world. From there we drive about three hours towards Puerto Natales. Once you're settled in at the hotel let's take some time to stretch your legs with a stroll around town, and fill our bellies with food and laughter over a tasty dinner at the local Brewery.

Day 2- Explore Torres del Paine Park

Enjoy the many sites in Torres del Paine National Park. After a two hour drive from Puerto Natales we enter will visit Nordenskjold Viewpoint, Los Cuernos Viewpoint (Horns) and Salto Grande. You'll see the breathtaking views of Pehoe Lake and the famous Cuernos of Paine. In the afternoon, we will sail to the impressive Grey Glacier, which is part of the Southern Ice Field-- the largest expanse of ice on the planet after Antarctica and the Arctic. Tonight we relax and rest in comfort at the Hotel Las Torres nesteled against the mountainside inside the park, and conveniently located near the race start. In preparation for the next days' race, we'll treat our taste buds to a sumptuous pasta dinner.

Day 3- Race Day for 100K and 50K

Each race has different start locations and start time. After an early breakfast at the hotel, everyone will be transferred to their race location. The race finish is conveniently located at the Hotel Las Torres. Later in the day, refuel and relax at the a celebratory dinner.

Day 4- 25K, 10K, and vertical kilometer- Torres del Paine & Punta Arenas

Runners participating in the shorter distances will race today. For all other please see the plan below.

Today we enjoy some free time to explore the park with a morning hike to the Torres del Paine viewpoint A definite must during the adventure! If you're feeling sore we also suggest you make a trip to the hotel spa for some extra pampering! In the afternoon we depart from the park and make our return trip to Punta Arenas. In the evening, stroll around the shops of Punta Arenas, or along the town's ocean-front walkway. Check into the Cabo de Hornos, which is perfectly located in the center of town on the main square.
